I have a manufacturer’s (lenovo’s) copy of Windows 8 installed on my machine. I upgraded my laptop to Win 8.1. Now since I would like to install a fresh copy, I m sure I can get the image file on the net. But what I’m troubled is –

So, I have a Synaptics Touchpad program, and I don’t think that it’s the correct one for my computer. I tried to uninstall it, but it said it’s not a “valid Win32 application”. I read around on some items, and I believe that it’s corrupted because it’s not
compatible with my computer.

If more information is needed, please ask. Another way around my problem would be if anybody knows how to disable PalmCheck. It’s not presentation up on my Synaptics settings, and disabling SmartSense is very mortal. Thank you!
I’m having a very frustrating problem that I can’t find the root of. We are in the process of moving our build machine from one arrangement to another. The build process is a Assignment that runs at 6 am. It calls a batch file, sets an environment value for MSBUILD
and then calls a C# program. That program then builds various embedded projects (using make), Windows C# apps and NSIS Installers and copies them up to a server.
On the old build machine (Windows 10, previously Windows 7 Pro that we performed an improvement on), this all worked fine. I set up the new build machine and it’s not function properly, at all. If I open up the command prompt and manually run the script from
there everything machinery great. As soon as I run it from the Assignment many of the embedded projects fail. It’s almost like they can’t find the file… even though they are being fed the direct path.
I’m running the command prompt and the Assignment as the same punter. The assignment is identical to whats on the old machine (I exported it there and imported in here). I’ve tried changing just about every background in the assignment (logged in vs always, highest priv vs normal,
etc) as other posts have suggested. I’ve tried running the assignment as the domain administrator and I even went into the makefile and printed out every distinct punter or environment changeable and they are the same whether I run from the Assignment Scheduler or command
The printed out error is:
/usr/bin/sh: C:\WinAVR-20100110\bin\avr-gcc: command not found
Except the path exists and I gave every punter full control over it. The punter I’m using is even an admin on the machine.
If it failed no matter what, that I could absorb. The fact that it machinery fine from the command prompt (a non-elevated command prompt, mind you) and not from the Assignment Scheduler when this exact same set up machinery on the old build machine is extremely confusing
… Anyone have any ideas on where to look next? What am I missing?

For some reason, my Windows 10 Home has magically upgraded itself to Pro, only of course I do not have the product key for Pro so it will not activate. (I think this is because I was part of the Insider programme and then left – presumably the scheme did
not revert to Home as it should have.)
How can I “downgrade” to Home so the scheme will correctly reactivate itself?
I have tried all the methods I can find with Google but none of those opus for me.
For example, I cannot do a clean install of Home – which is what most people be redolent of – because when I run the Media Creation Instrument, it automatically tries to install a copy of Pro. I never see an option to choose Home instead.
I have tried changing EditionID to Core and ProductName to Windows 10 Home in the registry, as I have seen suggested, but this does nothing at all. The scheme still won’t activate.
Any ideas please? (edit) For example, could I change the Product Key to the default Home key of
Recenly purchased a Lenovo Home Laptop and have experienced major Data Custom (20GB’s) due to constant Windows 10 Upgrades and Installations.
Lenovo seems to think its a Microsoft/Windows issue, even though Windows 10 was advertised as part of the purchasing package.
After all this downloading (20 GB’s) i can only see 2 items registered in the “View Installed Updates” section within the Program Features/Control Panel.
Just wondering if this is a normal rate of Data Custom when operating Windows 10.
Compared to Windows 7, which would take me a 6 – 12 months – to go through 20GB’s of Data Usage/Downloading.
I know there’s tons of threads on updates causing laptop not to boot, but I cannot find anything with my exact issue and none of those others have fixed my issue.
I have a Lenovo y50-70 finger laptop. All was well until now the Bluetooth driver disappeared and I restarted and installed the most recent updates.
During restart the renovate made it to 25% and then restarted to continue installing. At this point, my laptop powered up, keys lit, processor running, no beeps, and there it stayed with a black screen for 2 hours. It never brought up the boot screen at all.
I force restarted and the same phenomenon happened. Black screen, power running, processor running, never went to boot.
I left it like that another hour, and tried force restarting and holding f8, and f10 again. Still nothing. Again tried with holding windows key and c for safe mode but nothing.
I’ve now let the battery die and wonder if anyone has experience with this same issue on the latest renovate.
Thanks for helping me out!
#1- Does anyone know how long we are going to continue to receive these large cumulative updates for Win 10 ver 1607?
Mine (KB 3213986) is still downloading (95%) and I don’t know if it will ever end.
#2- If I have to attack it off when I go out, will I lose that 95% partial download?
Or, when I try again tomorrow, will it advantage the download at that 95% where I closed today?
I was hit with a notice I had a bad illness and directed to call a position that sounded like an Indian boiler room operation. They had all Microsoft logos and screen shots and seek $180 to $300 to fix whatever was wrong. They were very hard-core salesmen

I have a Lumia 640 XL and seek to connect to my laptop via bluetooth. The problem now is that it will pair with my laptop but if I try to connect, it does in fact connect but then immediately disconnects after that.
I want to buy a bluetooth headset for my phone but now I’m afraid that it wil just keep on disconnecting. Does anybody know what can cause this or have a blend for me?
Another question I have, still on this matter. Is if windows phone is capable of playing music through a bluetooth headset at all, because i never saw it anywhere.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, my laptop is getting multiple BSODs, when using the operating coordination or while on turn on, the codes are:
The most common are MEMORY_MAGNAMENT, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
My computer was diagnosed that it has one RAM Gap (of the 2 it has) broken, so the technichian re installed Windows 10 anyways, it was fine until former time
when i started getting multiple BSODs frequently, I tried changing the RAM to another I have, same thing.
Oh and by the way, my USB port mechanism (with problems) on Windows, but when I try to boot my USB from the BIOS the USB doesnt display there.
I dont think its a driver issue because before that problem i was using Windows 10 and it was function fine, also my laptop has official Windows 10 drivers,
it’s a Lenovo G405.
Oh and also my DVD Drive stopped up reading disks, it still turns on but it reads nothing.
What is happening?
Basically what the entitlement says.

Hello: Any advice is appreciated.
I have Windows 7, 64 bit home premium paid for and installed on my laptop. I am quite happy with it and the games (Solitaire) that comes with it.
In 2016, I got the notice from Microsoft about reserving Windows 10 for free download. Eventually started the download but was charming forever and heard negative opinions about Windows 10 at the moment so congested the download. Advised to use NEVER 10 to bar
the incessant reminders to download Windows 10.
Laptop has been function fine, but recently realized that I was not getting Windows 7 updates for at least 6 months. Windows keep post tells me “my promote to Windows 10 is ready and to restart the computer to begin installation”…which suggests to me that
Windows 10 has been downloaded? That said I cannot find evidence of the download. When I attempt to check manually for Windows updates I am told that” Windows Keep Post cannot check for updates until I finish the current installation.” Seems I am being held
hostage to promote to Windows 10…which I am not really interested in.
Is there a way to get rid of the forced restart and installation of Windows 10 so that I can continue to use Windows 7 and access the updates I have been missing? If I am forced to complete promote to Windows
10 installation, am I now going to have to pay for it, as outside the free download period?
I bought my computer with W8 on it. Upgraded to 8.1 and then W10 last summer and in Nov 16 did Anniversary update. However since I installed W10 my structure properties still says I’m running W8 (when clearly I’m not). Daren’t set any restore points or do
back ups as it keeps trying to go back to W8. And even more disturbing on the Control Panel options its saying Back Up and Restore to W7 which has never even been on this computer. I daren’t install any new software or anything as I don’t want to lose W10
and have to pay for a new copy. All this began after the W10 installation.

are also some bizarre pre-installed applications dated from early 2016. So what I am afraid is do these viruses are really dangerous that they can mess up my other files? I am also afraid that if I got the amiss laptop model. Read More

This is the same renew that will not install on my computer either. Windows Renew has been trying everyday since December 13, 2016.
I did the instructions on page one of this board. Nothing is running. I tried installing manually, Windows Renew troubleshooter, dism, etc.
Next week we should have more updates to install on our Windows 10 computers and this one Renew still won’t install after almost a month.
Just hope that next week there will be an Renew for this one that failed last month in December.
In the mean occasion I’m going to look on Dell website maybe there is a fix over there.
I can’t upload my DISM FILE since I have Onedrive twisted off and don’t use it.
I cannot access sites like hp.com, juno.com, iolo.com, intuit.com, etc using firefox, edge, explorer, chrome. I can do a google search select a location, which tries to gain but just sits with a blank page. This started mid Dec 2016. Gmail working fine, banks,
credit cards, and all places of business be successful fine. Notified Juno – they are still working. I use Windows 10.

I need an burning help with saving my laptop and files stored on it. I bought my ASUS laptop around December 2015, with preinstalled windows 10. Everything has been operational well until last few months or so. when I started to notice increasingly slow-moving
performance all over the board (begin instance, app loading, WPS office, games, etc.).
I started to search for the cause of the problems, and found out that my laptop was also agony from the infamous 100 percent disk treatment issue. I used every possible liquid found on the internet. All of them worked, but either only for a few hours
or until next pc begin. This problem escalated the recent past, when my laptop hard froze multiple times even after continuous restarts. I tried to run the /scannow command that detected corrupt files, but said it has been powerless to unravel them. Afterwards. I tried
to reset the pc, but this always gets trap on ‘Getting things ready’.
What is the best course of action now?

Good morning. My 2013 Toshiba Satellite using Google Chrome, latest adaptation, has been frighteningly viewing progressive problems.

2. On 010417, part button does not work; in YouTube, for instance, I can use their part button which does perform, but not on my laptop
2. On 010517, taskbar at bottom of screen disappeared; Edge ‘ask me anything is still there, along with date/time, but upon minimizing a WordPad doc, it no longer is minute icon at bottom of screen in taskbar. WordPad is effective at this point.

I took advantage of the free advancement from 7 to 10 and i have been having serious issues with audio and USB on my older motherboard. Windows 7 ran flawlessly and i had no issues at all; however, after i upgraded i had issues with what i am guessing is driver
issues. i put my Asus CD into the drive and it says “Asus encourage CD does not encourage this opperating scheme (WNT_62P_64)” I have been on the Asus website and again there are no drivers for windows 10 (Stops at win 8.1) i have tried 8.1 drivers but still have
the issues so ia am belief my motherboard (Asus M5A78L-M USB3) which is now 6 years old is not compatible with windows 10.
My question is that i have done a backup drive with my Asus motherboard and if i buy a new Gigabyte board can i just run this backup and reinstall windows 10 onto my new rebuilt PC? or do i need to pioneer from fresh (bearing in mind the free advancement will
no longer be available) i would rather do a new install but windows backup would of backed up my old board drivers which i dont want. Will it conflict if i use the backup or does it not back up my motherboard drivers?

It baffles me why this is so needlessly difficult, but here goes.
I am able to get the Favorites bar to display, no problem. I currently have a few sites saved here already. However, I now cannot add anything new to the Favorites bar. I have tried managing everything through the Hub. In the Hub under Favorites>Favorites
Bar, I am not able to add any new folders and if I drag any of my favorites that I’ve imported from Firefox, they do not stopover. What I mean is, I can drag the favorite from the “Imported from Firefox” folder and it looks like it moves there, but then it never
actually shows up in the Favorites bar. Also, if I just try right-clicking the Favorites bar and choose “Create new folder,” nothing happens. No dialog box, nothing. Also, why can’t we just drag items to the Favorites bar to save them there?
This is something so basic, I don’t see how it’s not more intuitive for what’s allegedly a “modern” browser. Garbage. I won’t be using Edge at all until this is fixed.
Hi. This is driving me mad. I use a laptop with the rest of my family who can still log on normally to Windows but my account won’t log in? It just stays on the welcome screen with the circle spinning?
I’ve refreshed the laptop. I contemplation about doing a routine restore to a previous date when it worked but as far as I can see you can’t do this in Windows 8.1.
Any help appreciated.
