The hdd on my laptop shows 138gb as usedspcae, but actual spcae used is 78gb…how do I regain the spcae lost?
Earlier at present I removed farcry 3 game from installed program files. It instantly freed 5gb of distance. The game files were deleted manually way back. I unsure something analogous may be eating up technique distance. I’ve run the defrag instrument and other tools too, but
didn’t got to the root of the problem.

From the day I bought my computer, my wifi-conectivity has been unhinge. It has always been annoying me, but recently the coonection has become so unhinge that I daily feel the implore to hurl the laptop against a partition or out the window… So I hope somebody
can give me the advice that will finally fix my wifi-problems.
The things is that my computer often disconnects (sometimes every 5 minutes or less) from the internet. When I click the wifi-icon, I usually can see my own network and the computer appears to be connected (but it doesn’t be successful). Usually I can see lots of
networks around me, but they evaporate from the list when I lose the connection (though my own stays).
I have tried restoring the computer to its original country (I bought it with Windows 8 and updated it to Windows 10), updating the networking drivers, followed all the steps on
this page. I have run the various diagnostic tools I’ve been made aware of on different homepages, too. Nothing seems to be successful at all.
Can anybody tell me what I can do to fix my connection.
Computer: ASUS X550JX
OS: Windows 10 (upgraded from Windows 8), 64 Bit.
Network Related: Card and drivers all come from Realtek.
I got a problem. So i seek to use a file from my old HDD and it was in an unlocked ZIP file but the file itself is locked. So i couldnt open it and i cant extract it to check for the password.

It was going all well until that late night download ruined it all. I discovered that I couldn’t open control panel, run and not even errand manager. However, I got rid of the malwares w/ the Malwarebytes but still can’t open those, in the end when I decided
to reset my pc, I got to know even that wasn’t function. When I click the ‘Get Started’ button, it does nothing. Read More
when I bought my first laptop computer I also bought Office Home and Apprentice 2007. This was loaded onto the original laptop, a TOSHIBA, that has now died. It was also loaded onto an ACER I bought and still use but I now want to install it on a new computer
I am buying that runs on Windows 10. I still have the disk and product key so will this be possible?
I have upgraded all of my Windows machines to Windows 10 Pro, and this issue has been active in all instances. This has even occurred for me out in the field as well.
I will randomly loose WiFi connectivity for no reason whatsoever. I see the dreaded “No Internet” with the sickly caution sign. There is absolutely NOTHING abuse with the network configuration. My credentials are entered and stored. The only fix currently
is to give myself a stagnant IP address. This of course is not an acceptable elucidation. Could you imagine trying to explain to an end addict how to set a stagnant address?
Anyone have a elucidation for this, more importantly, does Microsoft have a fix for this headache yet? Thank you.

I’m running a Windows 7 PC. I can select the Emails to delete, but when I click on the “Delete” button, nothing happens.
When I exit “Search”, the Emails are still there. I have tried Internet Explorer, and Chrome. Both behave the same way.
I cant delete a group of Emails, or even a definite one.
It either takes me to a absolutely blank page or give me an error like
“:-( Something went sin against An surprising error occurred and your request couldn’t be handled.

I have tried on nummerous browesers and checked that they were up to date.
It is the same on my computer and my phone. Help!

I did not have access to the CD which Windows was originally installed from, but I assumed all it really needed was the data, as I already had a verified Windows 7 installed. The CD has the same edition of Windows 7 on it as was originally installed (Professional).
During the reset, it asked for a proof code, I used the one which is labelled on the margin of my PC, but that is apparently not justifiable. I left it blank, and the installation completed, but I am now on the 30 day activation window.
This error keeps on popping out whenever I open my laptop
When I right click a photo on a web page, then selecting email picture from the dialog box. I get a Internet Explorer Security Box stating that the program will open outside of protected mode, Allow or Don’t Allow are the two options. If I Allow, nothing
If I download a new Windows 10 from MS and run the media creation gizmo, will it install 1607 over my defective 1511 install?
I have tried and tried to get 1607 on this Win 10 1511 PC via the Modernize process, I have asked the community twice. The last phase was just 36 hours ago. It seems like there is no answer.
My desktop refuses to even offer me the 1607 modernize now. (It did before I deferred it for a few months.)
So my question is a unadorned one. Does the current website (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10)
give me the most current 1607 version? If so, is there a reason why I might not just run it from inside the current report and install the new set
bypassing my current install?

With Windows Defender now up and running on my Windows 10 desktop, can I safely drop my AVG illness protection?
The details lie in the question itself. Put another way, my Lenovo desktop, circa 2011, was a Windows 7 computer until the conversion to Windows 10 in 2015. I exploit AVG Internet Security software for anti-disease and other protections. My question, then,
is can I expire that coverage with the presence of Windows Defender anti-disease protection now present on this computer?
I would appreciate feedback from the community on this issue.

I am having stupid down issues with my desktop. go figure. I attempted to run windows 7 troubleshooting (structure maintenance and performance issues) but I am getting the following message.
AN ERROR OCCURED WHILE TROUBLESHOOTING:
AN SURPRISING ERROR HAS OCCURRED. THE TROUBLESHOOTING WIZARD CAN’T CONTINUE
PACKAGE ID: MAINTENANCE DIAGNOSTIC
ERROR CODE: 0X80070005
I just finished running a full structure security scan (viruses and malware) with Kaspersky and no threats were detected. There is definitely belongings running in the background as my desktop keeps ticking away but I have no idea how to fix it. I read reviews on
structure care products and basically everyone says to not misuse your time using any. Any suggestions would be appreciated or tell me I’m screwed and I will bring it to a computer repair shop.
I am planning on advance the motherboard of my PC. I am aware that ‘significant’ hardware changes can cause problems with the operating procedure. In this case, conflicting drivers. I have done some research and have heard that there is some species of feature
in Windows 10 that automatically uninstalls, and sorts out your drivers for your new hardware in this instance. I haven’t found much on this theme so if this could be confirmed that would be great. Thanks! Read More
My windows 10 is a free upgrading from old porthole 7 home.
Since couple of months ago, perhaps after applying a windows upgrading, I cannot beat to another windows with “Alt-TAB” keys or by clicking the application on the bottom bar. For example, my current porthole is Chrome or IE, I want to go to an editor or explorer,
after I use “ALT-TAB” to select the application, several things can happen:
1. the beat is successful;
2. nothing happens;
3. the windows appears, but after I release “Alt-Tab” key, it disappears with the current porthole unchanged;
4. The porthole appears, but the current front porthole still covers it.
There is no definite behavior but it is so annoying. I actually think of reinstall the orderliness but no sure how to do it.
I tried to enter safe mode via the config option on my windows 10 X64 desktop PC. I checked the minimal option and the computer boots up as normal and goes to the log in screen with one major issue; the client log-on dialogue box is not able to be see. If I alt+tab
it shows through the pop-up bar that windows log-in is active but I am just not able to see it to enter in my password. I tried to blindly enter in the password but still not able to access the computer. I have done the shift+restart to enter troubleshooting
menu for the advanced options but when I go to command prompt, reset PC or advanced repair, my keyboard becomes inactive. I have tried restarting the machine, hard resetting but it goes back to the log on screen but does not display the windows log-in box.
It has been like this for a couple of days because I have a laptop so I had pretty much ignored the issue but now the machine is needed for use.
How do i fix the issue and regain access to my computer.
I downloaded windows 10 during the free phase last summer (i use windows 8.1), to fix some of my games i changed back to windows 8. Windows particularly said "you can swop back anytime" because it was after the date to get it for free i just said that
i couldnt and i was out of period, any suggestions?? i have not tried to reinstall from the download itself because i do not know how to do it Read More

I bought a Microsoft Superficial Pro 4, i5 256 GB for a week ago, and I have been using it for a couple of days now. When I am using a browser, either Edge, Chrome or Firefox, the CPU goes up to 100% each point I am loading a new website. I am only using one
tab, and it is only when it loads the page. This is really irritating because of the fan starts to run as an airplane after just a few seconds, and the machine becomes really hot. Is this normal and do anyone have any suggestions how it can be fixed?
So i tried to type
java -jar encoder.jar -i source.txt
but the fatal says ‘java’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
did I do something wrong?

Thank you for reading this.
I recently got a BSOD with whea uncorrectable error, after which I recovered the routine and therefore checked for any updates for Windows.
There were a number of updates, which the routine proceeded to download.
After the download, the installation is intriguing way too long – it’s been on “Preparing to install updates 10%” for about an hour or so and has not yet installed the first renovate – Feature renovate to Windows 10, description 1607.
There are also Windows 10 Description 1511 updates and driver updates still in the offing for installation.
Do you imply me in the offing for the installation or may there be a problem?
Thank you again!
Microsoft auto updates are doing their level best to make a PC I bought for fun and come off from home a waste of generation. I fail to see in fact why its much better than the hackers: given that its guaranteed something will break that I essentially bought the computer
to use with every bring up to date, it seems to me to be much the same outcome: a a waste of generation machine.
Therefore I would rather manually download and install the security updates at a rate my DSL can handle, when I can do it, rather than have it abruptly interrupt what I am doing to force a download that will take hours (or of poor quality, days) and certainly break
something at Microsoft’s notion. This would give me generation to figure out what will break with the ‘other’ updates and how to avoid it BEFORE Microsoft forces it on me. Unfortunately I haven’t found a list for where to download just the security ones because they
keep jamming them in with the ‘too big’ cumulative updates
So can anyone tell me where to find the NON cumulative individual security updates to manually download and install? I’ve only found one on the ‘updates available’ list and the other one I can only find stuffed into a cumulative.
I have no doubt they’ve made it difficult (especially for home users) on purpose. I am in word of one syllable hoping now its not impossible and someone with somewhat more experience knows where to look.
