Invalid Microsoft Offer. Motion up for a Groove Music Pass, and the next four months are on the house.
Forget trying to use chats or calling anyone from Microsoft. This 4 months of Groove was not available, is not available and you will only get a one month experimental. No 3 month credit will be sent to you… Save your energy and don’t check this program. It will
take more than 30 days to truly evaluate it and I cant justify the 9.99 a month….

Groove Pass is in a seemingly unrenewable (and partially working?) avow after it expired in December
How do I renew my Groove Music Pass? My 12-mo prepaid expired December 19th, and at https://account.microsoft.com where it shows the expired donation there’s a “Renew” link, but this takes me to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/music/groove-music-pass
which says “You Have a Music Pass.” I expected that page to let me re-up, not tell me that I have a pass. Equally links from https://music.microsoft.com take me to the same place.
I’m not the only one having this problem:, this person on Chirp had a seemingly sterile exchange with back about the same: https://twitter.com/FishFaceMcGee/status/809742022760431616)
Oddly if I use https://music.microsoft.com to try to listen to music when in this limbo, I can only get 30-second previews of music under Explore as I’d expect (I am not paying for Pass anymore), but any music which I’d added to a playlist that is not purchased,
and is not from OneDrive, *is still not marked with the “Music Pass” badge and I can listen to it in its entirety*. Oops!
Hey, im trying to cancel my payment for Groove but when i click and payment and services its aimed to say cancel but i cant seem to find that and when i want to pay my Xbox live gold it automatically wants to pay for the groove music which
i cant afford right now. Read More
Finally arrived for download. Install without an issue in a reasonable spell. So far so good. Everything effective as should be with the exception of Groove which has crashed several times. CPU and disk usage both seem improved and all Apps that I had issues
with in 14965 now piece as should. Not sure how whether I like all the changes or not yet, too soon.
I strut too soon; I have the same issues with the same app as I posted about Builds 14965 & 14971 plus now the chain store up cache is damaged ( may have been before) I have tried everything to repair the Chain Store Up but nothing has worked. Any suggestions.

THis seems to be a recurring/know issue but I have not seen a posted fix for this so here is my post.
Groove Music App will not find my music on my PC
I have 2 music drives (one attached to my router, one attached to another computer on my Home Network)
I have set both of those folders as music locations in my Groove settings
I can navigate to both of those folders in the explorer and double clicking on any file opens the chant in Grove and it plays
However none of those files/folders appear in Groove.
This is frustrating.
I have also had constant ongoing issues with the Photos App (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/apps_windows_10-photos/windows-10-photos-app-no-readable-photos-videos-or/fe4f8ab5-a75d-4c5c-8b87-35ea1e0669c7?tm=1479084100141 )
I do not know why Microsoft seems to have issues with their bundled apps, but seriously, your “default” apps give me a headache.
I’ve tried diligently to use them, they fail trying to do the simplest, most common use tasks.
I have switched back to Googler Play, and Google Photos now.
Get it together – I like Win 10, and I’m trying so hard to authentication your apps and drift away from Google, but your apps lack usability.
[Moved from Windows Insider]
I have a Groove Music Pass, and I can use it properly (jet and download Music Pass music) on my Windows 10 Mobile phone, and I can jet Music Pass music through any browser. However, when I use the Groove app on my Windows 10 desktop, I cannot jet
or download any Music Pass music. I get a 0x80070005 error every time.
I have tried everything on this list to no avail: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3078110
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Didn’t help.
I have had two chats with MS help. Neither one helped, and one suggested I reinstall Windows 10. I’m not going to go through all that.
I ran this, and it didn’t help: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/instantanswers/69e76f90-d54c-44cf-9851-c2d1542790db/run-the-troubleshooter-for-windows-apps
Honestly, I don’t think this app has ever worked on this machine, and I’ve had Windows 10 on it for over a time. I’m done putting up with it, and I want to get this problem solved.
Thank you for any ideas you might have.

Can anyone explain why Xbox music continues to refuse to endorse me in ? I cannot access my music, it keeps prompting for an account / password, even though I’m logged on. I’m trying to access on a Float Up, which has to be the most horrible £600 I’ve very washed-out –

Within the last month or so, it appears that a huge amount of recent (and old) music has become “purchase only” on Groove Music Pass. Many of my favorite artists (Radiohead, Arcade Fire, The xx, Arctic Monkeys, Burial, Animal Collective, Cocteau Twins, Bauhaus,
Factory Floor, Jessy Lanza, Diiv, Austra, Coldcut, Fennesz, Stereolab, Seefeel, classic Gary Numan, many many others) have had their catalogs
decimated – very few of their songs are available for streaming anymore, whereas recently it used to be that nearly all of them were.
(PS: ALL of these bands have intact streaming catalogs on Spotify.)
This makes an already unstable payment (no family plan, lots of labels already missing even before this “purge”) nearly an shaky scenario. When will all this music return to streaming?
Just got brand new ASUS ZenPad (Z580AC) and installed Groove on to it.
I have a Music Pass and am enjoying Groove a lot on my Win10 devices but on my ZenPad it says it won’t play in offline mode.
But I HAVE a fully function Internet connection. Groove plays local music but streams nothing…
Why doesn’t Groove drive on Android ?
I have a windows phone 8.1 and it has been operational excellently with my online music synced with my OneDrive. Starting the recent past I have been getting a message “sorry we can’t play this file on your phone error code 80172008 “
Can someone please tell me what is improper and how I can fix it. Please do not tell me I need to reset my phone. 😛
Also, OneDrive music directly from OneDrive mechanism like a champ. When I select “sync my collection” it takes a while but does it. When I click “Xbox Music account settings” it loads the browser, but I am met with a “an Error has occurred” dialog box.
Yeah, no kidding. 😛 😛 😛
I’ve tried logging in and out of the app. I’ve also looked to uninstall the app, but apparently that isn’t possible. Also meaning noting is that the error only occurs for streaming music. I am able to play music that is saved to my phone. I can also save
new music to my phone and play that fine, too. So this appears to be exclusively for the streaming music scenario.
Thank you for any joist you can provide!
I purchased music in December 2014 but the same music is not allowing me to download or play anything beyond just two of the songs on the albums. If I try to download them, it tasks me to promise to Groove, which I don’t want to nor should I have to for
music I already paid for. I would like to resolve this issue soon. I am using the same Microsoft ID I purchased with back then, so I don’t see why I should be having this issue. When I go into my online purchase history, it does fete that I purchased said
Over the last few days, I’ve noticed that my Zune software seems to be not capable to autograph in to Windows Live ID. This has me a bit anxious that Microsoft may have pulled the plug on DRM confirmation a few months earlier than they announced they would (as of March
So here’s what happens. The Zune software is hold to automatically autograph in when it’s fired up. It doesn’t. So I attempt to autograph in manually. I get a note that says, “There’s no Zune account for this Windows Live ID. Autograph in with a different email/password
combination or create a new Zune account using this ID.”
Of course, that’s unethical. I have a Zune account, err, well, I theorize it’s now a Groove account. Same difference. So I punch it in again. Then, something different happens. A box labelled “Zune Account Info” pops up, with transcript reading, “To complete your autograph-in
we need to collect a bit of additional information. Click Next to provide the necessary information and customize your Zune account.” As if I’m a new customer. Okay, fine. I click next.
The software whirs like it’s in the process of venue up a new account or supplementing it with new info. But then, failure. “Sign-up Error. Can’t create your account. Error Code C00D11B2 (800C2EE2).” Transcript there suggests that there might be a firewall or other
issue, preventing the software from accessing the Zune account information.
Here’s what worries me: the possibility that the real issue here is that Microsoft is shutting off whatever maitre d’hotel the Zune software normally accesses when logging someone on. Certainly there can’t be a networking issue on my end. I haven’t installed any new
firewall software lately. The error is the same whether I attempt to login from home or from my college. So my question: are other untransformed Zune users like me out there running into this same issue?
I have a lumia 950 running the latest production rendering of the OS and have Groove Music rendering 10.16102.1034 installed. For whatever reason the device won’t find my music that I have on Onedrive. I also have a Lumia 830 that doesn’t have this problem (with
the same rendering of Groove installed). Also, all of my desktop versions of Groove have no issues (so I know my OneDrive is set up properly). I’ve tried the reset function within Groove with no luck and I’ve even done a hard reset with no luck.
The peculiar part is I can go under ‘Your Groove’ and it shows playlists created from music on onedrive and I can flood those with no issues. It just won’t exhibit any music under album/artists.

I’ve been using the Groove Music help since the very first Zune device came out.
I switched to an iPhone and am using the Groove app, but it seems to be missing some key features – I’m wondering if they are really missing or if I just don’t know how to access them?
- I have several thousand songs on my OneDrive, how can I sync them onto the phone for offline play?
- When downloading songs, is there no screen to act download progress (and errors on individual songs)?
- It seems that downloading songs gets undecided as soon as my phone’s screen times out, so if I’m downloading a lot of songs I have to keep tetchy the screen to keep it from timing out. Is that really right? No background downloads?
I mostly listen offline (on airplanes, etc.) which is why Groove has always been so useful. But these issues with getting my music to actually be offline on my iPhone is making it a very painful process. Are there better services I should consider using
instead of Groove Music?
I have all my songs stored on my local drive. I have created several playlists and have sync’d it with my Windows 10 phone. The problem is getting the actual songs over to my phone. I need to move about 600 songs from my hard drive (which has over 1,000
songs) to my phone or to OneDrive. Is there a way to transmission a play list and the playlist’s locally stored songs to the cloud either via the app or WEB browser or is there a way to move them to my Windows Phone via USB?
I realize I can locate each hymn individually and move it to my phone via USB, but that is not a reasonable way to move 600 songs. Hopefully there is an easier solution. Please advise.
So I’m having a outlandish issue with Groove. I got this phone a few months ago, am pretty satisfied with it. Used to only get Windows phones because I preferred the interface, but Android had an app that I needed for school that Windows didn’t have, so I upgraded
to Android. Figured, not that big of a change. Anyway, I use my phone as an iPod, so I was pretty stoked when I found out that you could upload your whole collection to OneDrive and from the cloud, put it on your phone. Then I was mad because I had to advance
to Windows 10, yadda yadda yadda, everything more or less worked out with some minor snafus that don’t pertain to the question at hand.
Anyway, my music collection was operational fine. Groove plays music okay. Sapped up a lot of storeroom window on my phone. It was only 30 gigs of memory on the phone itself, so when I started to download new albums from Groove’s Music Pass, they wouldn’t download
to my phone. I would click “download” and the download icon would appear next to all of the songs, but would never download. So I bought a new SD card, 128 gigs. I’m still having the same issue. I deleted all of my music from my phone, transferred it manually
over from my computer to my SD card, then tried syncing the music from OneDrive while I had it all plugged in. Still nothing. Same issue. I don’t identify with why these songs won’t download when my contribution is up to date, and I have the window to download
I’ve tried deleting & reinstalling… Not sure what else to do. All that seemed to do was give me a headache. The groove app pulls music from the card and the phone, but the music that IS there is on the card. Is there anyone else with this odd issue?
Why am I powerless to get music to play that I purchased back when we had ZUNE…Every point I try to play these songs that I PURCHASED I keep receiving this error message: Can’t play. Your payment has expired. To continue,
renew your Groove Music Pass…I really would like to play the music I PURCHASED several years ago…?????
I NEED AN EXPERT TO HELP ME W/THIS…THANX!!!

Overall I love the recent updates but two things still bug me:
– Lack of look after for Android Auto
– Occasionally when I opening Groove I can press play on a tune or playlist (both offline and streaming audio) playback will not opening for ~30seconds, there doesn’t seem to be a particular amount of while and sometimes it may take 5-10 minutes. it will eventually
begin and no errors are shown, but it’s really frustrating.
Any advice on either of these would be great.
when I set off Microsoft groove I get a black screen with a blinking mouse cursor as soon as groove starts playing my mp3 file.
The only way to get out of this is to press ctrl-alt-del and disconnect from the current user.
vlc and Winamp can read the mp3 file just fine.
I scanned my computer with gdata and malawaremalabyte without any detected infection.

Groove is not finding any music. It has the correct location in the “Build your collection…” screen which is the path of my music folders redirected folder path.
The abuser has Modify access on the redirected location and all subfolders/files just in case.
Why is this is not function but WMP just picks up all media candid away and “just works”… Why would I use this absolute garbage Groove? Are the developers of this aware that it just doesn’t perform on a plain Windows 10 install?
Like it doesn’t even find the music despite having access, you provide no info or errors or feedback as to why (let alone logging or documentation further than “recreate a library”). Are you children? What makes idiots like you who make garbage like this

Ever since groove music became the only music app on Xbox, I’ve hated it so much. I try to play music from my phone, and it either says I need a music pass, or it crashes after two songs, and God forbid I get a book or open another app pn my phone while
