Downgrade to from Windows 10 to Windows 7 – do I get EXACTLY the same organization I had before the upgrade?
The theme says it all… I had been hard Windows 10 for some point in time as an Insider and I really, really coudn’t get to like the interface so I’m back to Windows 7 x64 Home Premium. I have upgraded my W7 installation and activated W10 before the 29th July
2016, so that I’m able to do the improve and reinstalled W7 clean. Now I decided to maybe give W10 another go, but I would really not want to go through hassle of another clean W7 install in case anything goes improper with the potential unistallation.
How does the downgrade process go exactly? Do I get precisely the same organization I had before the improve or it’s a huge mess after W10 uninstallation?
Am I maybe better off with creating an image of my SSD before the improve and then just restoring it?
Hey, I have recently got my computer operational OK but it still does have problems with it.I have Windows 7 Home Premium and I had upgraded to Windows 10,it was activated and operational for a few days. But my computer started acting up and would go lingering and bug
out.Eventually it would not alter on and ask me to troubleshoot Windows.I gave up trying to do it and forced myself to use the Windows 7 Home Premium re installation disc to wipe down my hard drive completely and reinstall Windows. When I did I installed necessary
drives, downloaded Google Chrome and tried using the Windows 10 installation assistant/free upgrade. Now it is fixed at 99% installing Windows 10 and I reinstalled Win 7 twice and tried again.Currently it is still fixed at 99% installing please hep! Read More

I opened my computer to see that most of my taskbar icons had been removed and Cortana added. Not sure yet if I like Cortana or not, but I’d like to get my icons back on my bottom taskbar. They do still prove up on my desktop and I’m gratify for that.
So, this is a question for all of you. My question is how the entitlement/licence installation. I have a ThinkPad X230 running Windows 10 Pro from the free upgrading. I also own a new laptop running Windows 10 Home, but as I got onto the Windows Hoard to figure

Here is the link to my .dmp files:
On a section note it didn’t fire up crashing until the latest Windows 10 Pro advancement. Before that I was running on Windows 10 Pro without issue.
My computer crashes at approximately 11:00pm ish every night so I’m “assuming” I have some separate of driver problem on on software that’s firing up but I tried attempting to read the actual .dmp file itself but I wasn’t quick enough to figure out what I was

I am one of those old Hotmail users who has lost emails, found question lines have disappeared, copy and dates are missing or a lot of emails reveal the same date, and all since the ‘upgrade’. I have a backup from August so I have an idea of what has gone.
This is the legal position. I have a paid style and therefore a contract with Microsoft. The promote should have been preceded with an email noting the potential risks. (It wasn’t). Microsoft, by messing up my emails have breached our contract. An individual
can take legal action but unless they can prove they suffered financial loss, they have little to gain.
My loyalty to Microsoft has taken an almighty knock. I didn’t want an promote. It was forced on me. I lost emails because of it. This has caused great distress.
Just a note. Microsoft are not able to recover emails. I think most of us just have to grin and bear it.
Installing windows 7 on a partition running 10 home so i can install 8.1 pro, as windows will then recognise an upgrade..
I’m trying to install windows 8 pro for dual boot. Problem is, as u know my (10 home) is MBR move on EFI system.. If I run cmd> command >diskpart list disk> It will be disk 0 , as I have a (1tb) Drive. I cant run cmd >clean , then convert
to GPT. If I clean I will lose my data.. I tried to convert the move from MBR to GPT without cleaning so I could partition the drive during install , to no avail.. I have a license for 8 pro.. I’m accepted wisdom I cant Convert to GPT from MBR without the cleanse..
Thus I would need another HHD to run the GPT conversion. so I can select that drive. Is it possible to convert, the 1 hard GPT so I can partition for dual boot? At first I was accepted wisdom, windows 8 will not recognize an advance on a deleted partition, so
I was accepted wisdom , If I partition and install ( 7 ) then install the (8 pro) on that partition it will then recognize the advance.. Is there a result ? Thank You , and that’s what we do.. Brettman prettymuch ! Read More

You have “upgraded” Outlook.com and the following issues are “set in stone” it would seem:
1 Emails repeatedly being added to Inbox over-and-over in Outlook.com
2 Not syncing with Outlook 2016 Pro
3 Not syncing with Windows Phone 2010 – Error: 0x85010014
4 Outlook 2016 seems incapable to connect to the server
Please advise soonest as this is causing havoc with my drive schedule etc.
After many happy years using Outlook.com (as well as Outlook)my outlook.com was upgraded last Wednesday … which is when Outlook.com blocked operational properly. I’m using Safari as the browser.
Issues to date are …
Mail catch in draft folder (randomly)
Not able to delete messages from the head waiter once account has been set-up
Stuck in ‘update in progress’
I’ve deleted and reinstalled the accounts, but guess what? No change.
Oh dear, oh dear. So disappointing and so bad for business.
Looks like I’ll have to use Google mail 🙁

I have Corrupt File(s) on Windows 10 Free Advance for Windows 8.
I don’t have Windows 10 ISO. I have Windows 8 Reinstall Disc.
I was going to open Command Prompt (Admin) and enter
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHelth /Source:wim:D:\sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess
Does Windows 8 Reinstall Disc fix issues on Windows 10 Free Upgrade? Or I have to use Windows 10 ISO?
Doesn’t honestly feel much like an upgrade. My Laptop PC hasn’t been the same since… At My Wits End With Windows 10!
Issue – device goes black at random times. Can be in the middle of creating a document, or online surfing, and blackout. Different times into a assembly, both users on the PC, with or without a poster in, makes doing anything pretty unbearable.
Ctrl:Alt:Dlt does not bring up anything. Only fix is to close for the day down and power back on.
Spent an hour on the phone with Microsoft only to come up with ‘go back to Win 7’ because the associate was assuming the issue was because I had two items that did not have current drivers and it was mentioned that Dell did not create drivers for the upgrade.
Well, I was able to locate drivers for those two items by changing the location of the driver search on my Device Manager. For some reason it was searching in my documents.
Now the only issue that pops up is an error message on the turn on screen that says ‘No Boot Sector On USB Device’. I only have 3 things connected to my PC via USB (wireless mouse, ext drive, printer) and I’ve removed and re-added all of them and they all
go to work properly.
I am obviously a novice at this, though not utterly clueless, but I don’t have all the express codes and proper names for everything. Anyone have any idea if the two are related? Blackout screen and the no boot error?
I upgraded one of my desktops some point in time ago to Windows 10 from Windows 7. Everything seemed to be effective fine, but then I noticed that the major October 2015 keep informed was repeatedly failing. Around the same point in time I noticed that I was having issues with USB
drives not being recognized. I figure I have a corrupted registry.
I did eventually get the computer to recognize my USB drive, and attempted to reinstall/repair Windows. No luck, Windows 10 is still at a complete loss in the old build, and every attempt to reinstall/repair/upgrade fails.
I attempted to smear my drives in order to do a complete reinstall, and had no luck getting disk management to resize/repartition any of my drives. Tried with winpart and Partition Magic, and no luck there either. Both physical drives pass Seatools drive
tests with flying colours. sfc /scannow and chkdsk reveal no drive or file errors.
I am going to attempt a complete install via iso (not USB), and see what happens. If that doesn’t go to work I am going to pull the drives, plug them in externally to another method and reformat and hopefully repartition them, and then see what happens.
Any thoughts? Help would be much appreciated.
I want to reliably restore Windows 7 on my PC, using technique backups I already have. I have had Windows 10 for too long, and easy reversion is not an option. Since Windows 10 installed so easily on my PC, I had no qualms about the Anniversary Raise.
My Bad. After this raise the computer tried to go home for the day down for 8 hours. After some manipulation (Remove fast fire up, bring up to date Intel Management Engine; effort develop power; restore corrupted files). I got it to go home for the day down and restart properly. Then came a set of
updates after October 5, and sure enough another infinite loop/wait, but on fire up-up. I do not intend to fight these updates for the next 4 to 5 years. I also do not wish to do a clean install, since that will eliminate at least one program that Microsoft
will no longer allow to re-install Is there a way to use my windows 7 backups to reliably restore Windows 7 from Windows 10? If not, I am going to install Linux Mint on my machine and hurl windows altogether. Mint (https://www.linuxmint.com/) is free and downloadable;
you can run a difficulty report (Live CD or bootable USB); and it is easy to install.
- It is incomprehensible that Microsoft could issue two recent updates that bamboozle my PC into an infinite loop/ infinite interval. Infinite loops have been known since Lady Lovelace’s days (early 19th century). Intentional infinite loops have been
implemented since the days of paper adhesive tape and plug-in boards. The introduction of timers in the 20th century that generated interrupts gave easy customs to end inadvertent infinite loops/waits. Multithreading operating systems, introduced several
years ago make it even easier to kill chance long artifacts.
- The fact that Microsoft apparently cannot detect and break long loops/waits caused by their updates, and then revert indicates one of two things: First is that their programming teams are downright incompetent. Or, Secondly, M$ wants these things to occur
on older systems, forcing users to purchase newer generation machines. I leave it to you to figure out which is so.
Ever since the outlook improvement I’ve had discontent accessing my account. Sometimes I can get in, but not for long and the pages are lingering to load (if they load at all), I have to repeatedly delete the same mails again and again and half of the very undersized percentage
of the spell I can access my inbox, mails I hurl don’t go.
I’ve now started getting ‘too many redirects’ messages when I try to access my account. I’ve tried typing in different URLS, accessing inbox via the MSN homepage, repeatedly cleared my cache and using different web browsers.

Microsoft, windows 10 upgrade; inability to improvement desktop to free win10 due to windows 7 bring up to date problems; problems continue & increase
I am giving opinions, asking questions, apologize for it being bulked all together. Individual threads have me confused. My problems are interrelated, I am quite sure. Having to do with Microsoft, windows landscape,
7, and intended free upgrade 10. Updates, upgrades, hardware & software problems (updating improperly if at all). None of equipment operational right since this free win10 promotion started; problems in literally ALL areas, all home devices (mobile devices excluded,
except when tried to add reward program & ms email), from desktop, ibook, laptops, web printer, haven’t tried much more, home network only partially operational, and more than I can list. I hope this is OK. I need guidance, advice, answers if possible, but would
be happy with a friendly word.
I don’t even know where to institute. every question or information I try to find brings up more questions. My machines were in operational order. We were able to promotion laptop to win10 when free. Desktop running well with win7spk1, wouldn’t back up, though, and
win7 updates became major problem; aside from inability to use as is anymore, certificates, programs everything out of date, incapable to find drivers, won’t backup to my ibook (& more) & although eligible for free win10 promotion, it wouldn’t go to work. Trying to find
answers is all I ever do. Stanchion not following through. Why should I pay for promotion when the error lay with ms &/or windows. Home network won’t go to work with all devices. Printer is web all-in-one that basically only operational manually now. Looking at different
threads with different questions that I have; I am very confused; old info mixed with new. Windows 7 will no longer be supported or is being phased out? But have to pay? I have reached out, tried the fixes from tech advice, always using restore point. Regularity
is older but not that old and was in very good operational order; all of my machines were. Nothing but chaos from what looked promising but was a lot of weigh down since the changes started, messed up my home network, want money for what should not have to pay for
since it was not caused by me. The same issues have popped up all over the internet. I am on disability, low income, and pinched pennies, saved up for what I own, and take good care of everything. Many families whether operational or other issues struggling day
to day, this isn’t just my problem, it’s happening to people everywhere! I depend on being able to use these machines & programs for my needs, my uses, not constant fixes, that only soul of go to work until the next revise if at all. I don’t know what is or isn’t
rightful with these updates & upgrades anymore, can’t afford a new regularity or it would be a done deal. My equipment is in good figure. I know these are my opinions but I would have proof, if I was a tech & knew more. I am quite good at most procedural stuff; it just
shouldn’t have to be so long & confusing; and the fixes & updates should go to work! One of my first stanchion emails to ms/win stanchion came back reveal me that it was the unsuitable place. I have saved all emails. Don’t know much about screen shots but learning. Having
to learn too much when I don’t have the point in time because I need to do what I bought it for or health issues get in the way. In my free point in time, I love knowing, learning this object, was going to school for it before I became ill.
MY questions are many so will reduce to one-can anyone help me get done what should’ve worked to begin with or mostly, advise me, revise me on what’s really happening, and why Microsoft stanchion sends generic emails to let me know they’ll get back to me with
answers in 24 hours, then about a week later wants me to fill out a investigate on their stanchion when they never called or emailed anything, not even saying they needed a bit more point in time to look into-nothing. Sorry, more than one question, I just don’t know where
to funny turn. Have been & plan on asking where ever I can to get this resolved.
I would like to say, the forums, blogs, and a couple tech sites set up just to help, give advice, have been the most friendly, kindness, explaining in clear terms, and gave the best help. Sites like this one, which I have participated in before,
real people helping real people the best they can. THANK YOU!

On the General tab, click Selective startup.
Clear the Load startup items check box.
Click the Services tab.
Select the Hide all Microsoft services check box (at the bottom).
Click Disable all.
Click the Startup tab.
Click Open Task Manager.
On the Startup tab, right-click each enabled startup item and select Disable.
After completing your troubleshooting, restore your system by doing the following:
Press the “Windows + R” key to open a Run box.
Type msconfig and click OK.
On the General tab, select Normal startup.
Click the Services tab.
Clear the Hide all Microsoft services check box.
Click Enable all.
Click the Startup tab.
Click Open Task Manager and enable all of your startup programs.
NOTE: Be sure you “Enable all” Microsoft services when you are done troubleshooting, and re-enable all programs in the Startup tab, or will you lose some OS functions (ex. internet

how to obtain windows 7 ISO for laptop w/win 7 preinstalled, upgrade to win 10 in july, recently replace HD/ reinstalled win 10
Dell Inspiron N5010, windows 7-64 bit preinstalled at time of purchase. one of the first free upgrades to windows 10 in july. recently replaced hard drive (unrecoverable) and reinstalled windows 10. I am trying to obtain an ISO for windows 7. this has proved
to be quite difficult. my attempt prior to replacing my hard drive using the old product key was unsuccessful as the site does not accept keys from pre-installed versions. If I am understanding it correctly in an article I read it said that when I upgraded
from win 7 to win 10 the product key remained the same. However, when my hard drive was replaced and windows 10 re-installed that product key was replaced with a digital license. I have 3, possibly 4 questions: 1.) Has my product key now become a digital
license? 2.) If so, can this digital license be used to obtain the windows 7 ISO? If so, where can I find the digital license? 4.) if none of the above, any suggestions how I can get a copy of windows 7 Iso? I am very frustrated and out of ideas.

I lost years of e-mails after the Outlook upgrade. These were not deleted or lost e-mails; they were in my regular inbox. I have browsed the community and it seems it requires direct communication with an agent, but I seem unable to get to a live one and

I have windows 10 and that’s fine. But every time I start my computer I get a notification to upgrade to premium. I don’t want premium and don’t want this pop up but it comes back every time. How do I permanently stop it from popping up?
My computer came with the original version of windows 10. I upgraded it to the newest just 2 days ago and now the sound from my speakers is distorted. I have tried googling the problem and can only find advice related to the first version of windows 10 or
for sound that is gone altogether.
Whereas my sound isn’t gone it’s just distorted. (Also it is definitely not the hardware as this is a brand new laptop and it was fine before.)
Anyone else had the same problem or knows how to fix this?
I have two installations of Windows 10, separated by about 6 months and the first is an upgrade whereas the second is a fresh install.
My first PC’s start menu is organized exactly how I would like it: The start menu is divided in half with the left side containing most used programs, icons and their full program names toward the bottom, with the very convenient “All Apps…” button at
the bottom. The right side is tiles.
On my newer PC, the start is divided into three sections – a thin strip of icons on the left which I must expand with the striped button at the top, an incredibly annoying alphabetized list of programs in the center, and again the tiles on the right.
What I don’t understand is why each of these machines’ start menus look so vastly different, and why for the life of me I cannot configure my second machine to be organized like the first one.
– I don’t want to have to click-to-expand the icons on the left every time I open the menu.
– I don’t want an alphabetized list (I want the “All Apps” button at the bottom.
The only reasonable explanation is the upgrade tries to preserve the pre-existing structure, whereas a new install does it the “Microsoft Way”. Surely there must be a registry configuration that will configure Windows back to MY way.
Why Task Scheduler runs only the first action from the action list after upgrade 10 Win10 Anniversay update
I have had a task in task scheduler for years that has a handful of robocopy commands with respective RJC files that backup my files to a NAS drive.
It has been running successfully but now it only runs the first robocopy command (succesfully) on the list and not the remaining ones. I don’t see any errors anywhere in task schedule or in the event viewer (I was looking at all the windows logs and app
logs specifically for task scheduler in the event viewer). When I run the actions manually from elevated CMD they run just fine. I also tried re-entering my user name & PW for the task as it as been the issue in the past after some upgrades but that did not

reset it to factory default, knowing i had the digital entitlement of Windows 10 i agreed. Everything worked fine but when i tried to go back to windows 10 it keeps asking me for product key. Below is a screen shot of my current windows PC and my laptops product
