Migrating Digitally Licensed Windows 10 to SSD
When you boot from the Windows 10 install media on a USB or DVD, it offers two options during setup.
The option you clicked is to remind you that upgrades cannot be performed by booting from the install media. You need to boot to the desktop of a running supported edition of Windows (7 or 8), then onset the promote from there.
Since you are installing on what seems to be a blank SSD drive, you should select the Custom (Advanced) option, select the SSD in the drive list, click Delete, select it again, then click New. Click Apply then OK, select the Primary partition then click
Next to begin the installation.
