New HP Envy Laptop with Windows 10 preloaded.
When you say you moved programs from your old PC, do you mean you copied them to the new laptop?
If so, they will never labour, Applications install files into C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files(x86) and also the your ProgramData Folder and into your user/AppData folder. Registry entries are also in black and white for most applications.
Applications need to be installed onto a new organism rather than being copied from an old organism in order for them to labour and when you are installing them you can install them onto your D drive, but this sometimes causes issues as some applications need
to be on the same drive as the OS if badly in black and white . . .
With regard to your Data, you can right click any of your library folders (Documents, Pictures . . . etc.) and click on the location tab to set their location to a folder on your D Drive, in fact this is the best option. Just remember to set the new location
to a folder on your D Drive and not the Root as a lot of users have made this error and their files organism has become wild . . .
I Hope this Helps!
